Course Overview

This short course provides an in-depth overview of the paper recycling processes and technologies including various types of paper that can be recovered and the grades of paper that are manufactured from recycled fibers. It offers discussion on the basic fundamentals and specific details of the paper manufacturing process, which includes factors affecting the quality of manufactured paper and specific process design for different paper grades.  In addition, this course provides some insights into the major challenges facing the paper recycling industry and new and emerging technologies in response to them.

This course is designed for engineers and technicians who are working in the pulp and paper and related industries.
